Satellit operates a substantial portfolio of mobility assets across multiple European markets and is accelerating its shift toward digital services to improve the customer experience. To support this journey we are hiring a senior Database Administrator to take responsibility for the current database estate, maintain performance, security and availability, and lead the migration from on-premises data centres to a public cloud environment. Proven experience designing and operating high-availability and disaster-recovery solutions such as synchronous replication and failover clustering. Strong proficiency in SQL, including query tuning and execution-plan analysis. Practical experience deploying and managing database workloads in a public cloud environment, including managed database offerings and cloud-hosted virtual machines. Experience migrating databases from on-premises infrastructure to cloud platforms is highly desirable. Familiarity with open-source relational databases is an advantage. Ability to automate repetitive tasks using scripting or general-purpose programming languages; experience with infrastructure-as-code or CI/CD for database changes is a plus. Track record of leading database projects such as major version upgrades, consolidation initiatives or security-hardening efforts.
