**Employer**: Easpring Finland New Materials Oy**Location**: Kotka, Finland**About Easpring Finland**Easpring Finland is developing a battery materials plant in Kotka to meet the growing demand for battery materials in Europe. The plant will produce cathode active materials required for electric vehicle batteries.We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to manage local procurement activities and take overall responsibility for electricity procurement and energy management, supported by external professional service providers.**Position Summary**As Procurement Engineer, you will manage local procurement of goods and services and serve as the internal owner of Easpring Finlands electricity procurement and energy management activities. You will coordinate electricity price risk management and hedging, physical electricity procurement, consumption forecasting and efficiency initiatives, working closely with production, maintenance, sales, finance and external energy specialists.You will be accountable for coordinating energy management activities and translating specialist advice into actionable proposals, approved instructions, monitoring and follow-up. External strategic partners, currently including Fortum, will provide market insights, technical expertise and agreed services, while decisions and commitments remain subject to the Companys authorization and approval processes.This role offers the opportunity to combine hands-on procurement with the management of a major cost and operational risk area during the plants ramp-up and production expansion.**Key Responsibilities**- Manage local procurement of materials, equipment, spare parts and services, including sourcing, requests for quotation, supplier evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders, contracts and delivery follow-up. - Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers and support cost, quality, delivery, compliance and procurement process improvements. - Take overall responsibility for the Companys ele
