This includes new generations of mobile networks, immersive technologies and cloud infrastructures for applications in areas such as media, automotive and defence. The department has a strong international profile and is represented in relevant standardisation bodies, including IETF, MPEG and 3GPP. As a Senior Patent Expert, you focus on knowledge-intensive patent matters within the technological areas in which Networks operates, with particular emphasis on wireless, mobile and softwarized networks. You combine in-depth technical knowledge with expertise in intellectual property, making you the technical link between researchers, patent attorneys, lawyers and clients. You will work in an experienced team of around 70 colleagues and be exposed to a wide variety of new technologies across the department. What will be your role? As a Senior Patent Expert, you will work closely with researchers within Networks and with patent attorneys and lawyers both within and outside TNO.
