We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Automation Commissioning Engineer to support the commissioning of a prototype hydrogen-to-green steel plant in Boden, Sweden.The role requires strong engineering and commissioning experience across LV/MV/HV distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, drives and steel plant equipment, covering installation through cold and hot commissioning. The successful candidate will combine strong electrical technical knowledge with an understanding of steelmaking processes, systemisation and completions management.Key ResponsibilitiesCommissioning & Installation Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and start-up of electrical and automation systems. Execute commissioning of LV/MV/HV distribution systems, transformers, switchboards, motors, variable speed drives, overhead cranes and associated equipment. Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and test scripts. Conduct cold and hot commissioning of steel plant equipment in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and schedules. Verify installation, functionality and readiness of electrical equipment before energisation and operation. Identify and resolve commissioning issues, ensuring effective technical close-out.Electrical Systems Apply European electrical standards and specifications covering LV/MV/HV systems, switchgear, cables, underground cabling, overhead lines, wiring, electrical safety, earthing and grounding. Execute and validate electrical protection systems, including protection relays, protection coordination and transformer differential protection. Conduct testing, calibration and troubleshooting of protection relays and electrical equipment. Ensure earthing and grounding systems are correctly installed, tested and compliant with applicable requirements.Engineering & Design Provide technical input during engineering and design to optimise systems for commissioning, operation and maintainability.
