Are you an independent electrician who enjoys working on technical projects and is not afraid of a new challenge? For a growing company specialized in ship repair and technical maintenance , we are looking for a SHIP ELECTRICIAN . As a SHIP ELECTRICIAN , your responsibilities will include: Carrying out electrical maintenance and repair work on ships; Working on different ships, both at the workshop in Ostend and on-site throughout West Flanders ; Starting on site and working independently on the planned tasks; Performing electrical tests and inspections ; Disconnecting electrical components and wiring from engines; Troubleshooting electrical faults and finding suitable solutions; Carrying out electrical interventions and repairs; Actively thinking along with technical challenges and independently looking for solutions . As a SHIP ELECTRICIAN in OSTEND , you recognize yourself in the following: You have a technical education or background, preferably in industrial electricity ; You speak Dutch OR English ; You have a driving licence B ; You preferably have experience in an industrial environment ; Experience in the maritime sector is a plus, but not an absolute requirement ; You are able to work independently and do not need constant supervision; You are a real problem-solver who takes initiative and looks for solutions yourself; You are not afraid to take responsibility .
