Join our Malmö R&D team as a Senior Configuration Manager and help shape how we manage software configurations throughout the product lifecycle from ongoing development to release and long-term maintenance.Our teams develop control functionality for ABB System 800xA and next-generation automation products used in industrial applications, including the energy services industry. These products evolve over many years, with development taking place across parallel branches and multiple product releases. You will work closely with local developers and be part of ABB’s global Configuration Management (CM) team, contributing to the delivery of the complete automation system.In this role, you will take ownership of clear, consistent CM practices. You will help ensure we can identify what is included in every release, understand and trace changes, reproduce delivered configurations and maintain our products with confidence. DevOps tools and automation are important enablers of this work, but configuration management is the core of the position.Your main responsibilities will be to: Define, maintain and continuously improve CM plans, principles and working methods, including version control, branching and release management. Establish and maintain configuration identification, baselines and release records so software configurations and delivered versions are clearly defined, traceable and reproducible.
