Design and size the composite airframe of a high-speed strike UAVAt Frost Unmanned, you will design the composite structure of our fixed-wing UAV in CAD and size it yourself, from first concept to a rugged, field-ready aircraft. You will own the airframe: wings, fuselage, load paths, joints and how it all comes apart and goes together in the field. You will have real influence over design decisions from day one.Frost Unmanned develops sovereign unmanned systems for defense and government customers: high-speed fixed-wing strike UAVs and unmanned surface vessels. We are a small team in Stora Höga, Stenungsund, moving from development into serial delivery. What you will do Design airframe structures and assemblies in CAD, from concept to production drawings Size composite structures yourself: laminate layup, ply orientation, joints and inserts, with hand calculations and first-pass FEA Set structural and aerodynamic requirements, and review and challenge results from our external simulation partners Design for manufacturing: moulds, layup, bonding and tolerances that subcontractors can build to Integrate propulsion, fuel system, payload and the pneumatic launcher interface into the airframe, with control of weight and CG Design for field assembly: fast, robust and doable in the cold with gloves on Take designs through prototyping, testing and productionWhat we are looking for Expert CAD skills for complex lightweight structures and assemblies. This is the most important skill for the role Hands-on experience designing and sizing composite structures in real projects Experience with aircraft, UAVs or other airframes, professionally or in serious own projects Solid understanding of aerodynamic and structural loads Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience Eligible to pass Swedish security vettingIt is a plus if you have Taken a composite structure from design to series production Experience from defense or aerospace programs Built and flown y
