Video: https://youtu.be/i4SDcLir6Oc Postdoctoral Research Fellow position At the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Clinical Dentistry, a full-time temporary position as postdoctoral research fellow is available for a period of two (2) years. The position can be extended for one (1) additional year, and it is part of the project ”TuniScaff”, financed by The Research Council of Norway, RCN. About the project/work tasks: The position is allocated to tasks aimed at validating an innovative, 3D-bioprintedand tissue-specific scaffold for bone regeneration. Novel synthetic polymer scaffolds will be fabricated and functionalized with ultra-pure nanocellulose, bioresorbable ceramics, and/or mesenchymal stem cells to provide complementary regenerative functions. The specific objectives of the project are to: Fabricate and validate 3D-bioprinted polymer scaffolds with appropriate structural and physicochemical properties for bone regeneration Develop, characterize, and validate a biodegradable ultra-pure nanocellulose for incorporation into tissue-engineered bone constructs Evaluate the in vitro safety and regenerative potential of the developed materials, with particular emphasis on osteogenic and angiogenic responses Evaluate the in vivo safety and regenerative efficacy of the developed materials, with particular emphasis on bone formation and vascularization Qualifications and personal qualities: The applicant must hold a Norwegian PhD or an equivalent degree within regenerative medicine and dentistry or have the doctoral thesis submitted prior to the application deadline.
